We are celebrating Dance this season in partnership with Rural Arts Wiltshire and local dancer Amy Foskett. Amy started her contemporary dance career as a teenager at the Arc Theatre, Trowbridge and went on to join Swindon Dances training programme, and complete a BA in contemporary dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of music and dance. Amy lives, teaches and performs in London but is coming back to Trowbridge to lead on this celebration of dance to share her energy and skill and inspire our next generation of dancers. Amy will run a series of workshops in schools and for the community as well as premier her new show with us.

2017 marks the 30th anniversary of the Black History Month in the United Kingdom.  in 1987, Ghanaian analyst Akyaaba Addai-Seboa, organised the event for first time in London. BHM is an annual celebration of achievements by black people to recognise their culture, history, experiences, challenges and accomplishments.


In partnership with Seedbed, West Wiltshire Multi Faith Forum & West Wiltshire Community Club we are presenting a journey of black people in the British cinematography and celebrating with a meal and informal discussion.
