Job Title Director of Town Hall Arts
Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 (depending on experience)
Hours of Work: full-time
Trowbridge Town Hall Trust is seeking applications for the post of Director of Town Hall Arts to lead the Trust into the next stage of its development and secure the future of Trowbridge’s historic town hall as a centre for arts, culture, heritage and community activities. The Board is looking for someone with a passion for arts, culture, heritage and community. Someone with the vision and drive to take the Trust forward and realise the Board’s aspiration to restore the ballroom to its former glory and establish the building as a vibrant arts, culture, heritage and community hub for the town.
Town Hall Arts is a centre for arts, culture and heritage learning in the centre of Trowbridge. We are funded by Wiltshire Council and Trowbridge Town Council to offer a programme of activity including hosting professional touring theatre and dance, exhibiting visual arts throughout the year, supporting artists’ studios, an artists’ shop, running a bar and café, running a number of performance, visual and literature based workshops, looking after the many people who hire space in the venue, as well as supporting activities out in the community and celebrating the amazing heritage of Town Hall Arts home, Trowbridge’s old Town Hall.
This post is subject to the applicant receiving a satisfactory DBS enhanced certificate (we will facilitate this process).

Your letter should demonstrate how you meet the requirements of the person specification. Applications must be received by 12 noon on Monday 7th January 2019. Interviews will take place on Friday 11th January 2019 and also possibly on Monday 14th January 2019. Applicants who are called to interview will need to prepare a 10 minute presentation:
‘Using the information you have about Trowbridge Town Hall Trust and Town Hall Arts, set out your vision of how Town Hall Arts will develop over the next 12 months. What would your key priorities be and how would you implement them?’
They will also be asked to bring a portfolio consisting of 5 pieces of evidence for what they consider to be their most significant achievements in the last 2 years,
