Black History Month: The experience of British black people on film
2017 marks the 30th anniversary of the Black History Month in the United Kingdom.  in 1987, Ghanaian analyst Akyaaba Addai-Seboa, organised the event for the first time in London. BHM is an annual celebration of achievements by black people to recognise their culture, history, experiences, challenges and accomplishments.
In partnership with Seedbed, West Wiltshire Multi Faith Forum & West Wiltshire Community Club we are presenting a journey of black people in the British cinematography and celebrating with a meal and informal discussion.

Refugees Stories
Refugee crises are covered daily in the media, which show us terrible images of countless people desperate for a better life or just fighting for a chance to survive. The children are the most vulnerable in this complex matter. In 2016, the Town Hall hosted the exhibition ‘From Syria with love’, showcasing the paintings made by Syrian children and their vision of a world marked by blood, guns and destruction. In a different way to approximate to their feelings, fears and opportunities for their future, we are screening a very recent film that we want to discuss in a special event with people related to this reality.
